Glass City Balloon Race Flies High Over Rossford

The Rossford Convention and Visitors Bureau recently received a $2,950 grant from the Ohio Arts Council for an ArtStart grant for its newest event, Stroll the Street Wednesday in Downtown Rossford. 

Stroll the Street Wednesday is made possible in part by state tax dollars allocated by the Ohio Legislature to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC). The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.

 Ukrainian Dance Group Comes to Rossford to Perform

The Rossford Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted the event during the city's Stroll the Street Wednesday.

The Ukrainian dancersdisplayed their cultural outfits and moves. 

The group features a mix of American-born and Ukrainian natives.

The Rossford Convention and Visitors Bureau and the City of Rossford announce a new summer series — Stroll the Street Wednesdays.

This free family event will be held on Wednesdays beginning June 26 through Oct. 9 in downtown. Stroll the Street will feature a farm market, musical and art entertainment, food trucks and arts and crafts vendors. It will span one side of the Downtown Boulevard from Ford Memorial Park, adjacent to IPS Corporate Headquarters.

Ohio Flags of Honor Memorial arrives in Rossford for weekend

It's an amazing sea of red, white and blue this weekend in Rossford.

The Ohio Flags of Honor Memorial is making a stop here, one of 16 this year around the state.

At an emotional opening ceremony a name is read.

A flag is then placed in the ground to honor an Ohio soldier killed in Afghanistan, Iraq or globally in the War on Terrorism.
